Fortunately, not every country is in tyrannical lock-step.
And with permanent remote work now a reality for many, it’s easier to seek freedom in one of these places. With merely your laptop and an Internet connection, the world is still your oyster.
To give you more options, we’ve researched countries that have adopted “Digital Nomad” visas (which are also open to remote employees and online entrepreneurs). Other countries that offer temporary residencies to digital workers might be appealing, too, so we’re also including two of these popular destinations.
