DESCRIPTION:I still remember the first time I visited Mexico City. I had heard all the usual things: the amazing food\, the chaos\, the bustling energy… But nothing quite prepares you for the moment the city actually gets under your skin. For me it happened somewhere between my third taco of the morning and standing in the middle of the Zócalo watching the city go about its day\, and by the time I left I was already thinking about when I could come back. \nFor those of you who’ve been before\, you know exactly what I mean. For those of you coming for the first time\, I am actually genuinely a little bit envious of you. \nMexico City is one of those rare places that leaves you curious at every turn.  \nIt’s one of the largest cities in the world\, yet it has this special kind of neighborhood intimacy that surprises people. The food alone could occupy you for weeks. The history runs so deep you can literally see layers of civilizations stacked on top of each other. And the people — warm\, proud\, funny\, and endlessly welcoming — make every trip feel like a homecoming. \nWe’ve put together what I think is a genuinely wonderful long weekend: tacos in Roma Norte\, lucha libre\, a food and culture walk through the Historic Center\, dinner at Animal\, Chapultepec Castle\, and a Sunday afternoon trajinera ride through the canals of Xochimilco.
