Mexico has changed dramatically over the past few years.

Residential property prices have more than doubled in US-dollar terms nationwide since 2020, while some of the country’s most popular markets have risen even more. Mexico is simply no longer the bargain it once was.

But that does not mean we would write it off.

Mexico still offers a combination that is difficult to find elsewhere— proximity to North America, excellent connectivity, a huge range of lifestyles, and very straightforward residency options. The key today is being much more selective about where, and what, you buy.
